FOCUS AND SCOPE

NAHNU: Journal of Nahdlatul Ulama and Contemporary Islamic Studies presents high-quality scientific articles, both in the form of field research articles, literature studies, and conceptual. This journal focuses its main study (grand issue) on issues or topics around contemporary Islam that arise among the Nahdlatul Ulama community, both in the Indonesian context and in the international realm, with specializations in studies on:

NAHNU: Journal of Nahdlatul Ulama and Contemporary Islamic Studies is a scientific publication forum for academics, researchers, students, professionals, practitioners, and social activists to discuss and share knowledge in the form of scientific articles from various perspectives, including:

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

NAHNU: Journal of Nahdlatul Ulama and Contemporary Islamic Studies implements a double-masked peer review policy to ensure the quality of the manuscript. Manuscripts considered eligible will be sent to two reviewers, taking into account their fields of knowledge and expertise. In principle, the review and assessment process is applied to every manuscript without exception.

The following is a detailed description of the review process and stages up to the publication stage of this journal:

    1. Manuscripts that are submitted will be confirmed by the editorial team within 12-24 hours after the journal receives the manuscript;
    2. The journal editor team checks the manuscript for elements of plagiarism;
    3. If the manuscript meets the internal standard requirements, it will then be forwarded to the reviewer;
    4. The manuscript will be sent to several reviewers and provided without including the Author's identity, name, email, and institutional affiliation of the Author;
    5. The length of the manuscript review process and stages depends on the reviewer but will not exceed the time limit given by the editor team;
    6. Regarding the time, the review process takes a maximum of 14 working days from the time the article is sent to the reviewer;
    7. The editor collects the results of the review and assessment from each reviewer; the results of the review are forwarded to the executive editor to be submitted to the Author, who requests the Author's ability to follow all directions and instructions from the reviewers;
    8. After the Author makes improvements and modifies the manuscript according to the input and direction of the reviewers, the manuscript will be resubmitted to the reviewer. In principle, the review, assessment, and improvement process takes place periodically or continuously until the manuscript is deemed worthy by the reviewer and can be continued to the next stage, namely publication;
    9. Manuscripts that have gone through the improvement process and have been accepted will then be processed to the publication stage;
    10. Before publication, the editor team will send the manuscript to the Author to ensure its completeness. The proofreading process is also carried out at this stage;
    11. Next, the journal team will publish the manuscript. At this stage, the manuscript is presented online first. Furthermore, the Author will be contacted directly by the Journal Team. At this stage, authors can submit changes if there are parts that need to be refined and fixed;
    12. Authors can submit improvements for one week since the manuscript is published online. One week later, the manuscript will be printed and distributed to each Author;
    13. The Editorial Team will contact the authors, asking for each author's address so that the hardcopy version of the manuscript can be sent.

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

JThis journal implements an open access system, and all parties can access, read, download, share, quote, and use for other legitimate purposes, as long as it is not used for commercial interests and profit, whether individual, group, or institutional.

DIGITAL ARCHIVING

In order to ensure the security and maintain the authors' publication data, NAHNU; Journal of Nahdlatul Ulama and Contemporary Islamic Studies uses the Gerba Rujukan Digital (GARUDA) system, a platform for scientific publication information sources in Indonesia managed by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

JURNAL HISTORY

NAHNU: Journal of Nahdlatul Ulama and Contemporary Islamic Studies is published by the Lembaga Kajian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (Lakpesdam), Nahdlatul Ulama Palengaan Pamekasan Branch Representative Council (MWCNU) Palengaan District, Pamekasan Regency;

NAHNU: Nadlatul Ulama Journal Islamic and Social Studies was born on the initiative of the organization's members. Its primary purpose is as a scientific publication media and scientific discussion space for academics, researchers, practitioners, professionals, students, and activists who want to share information and knowledge related to Islamic and social issues in the Nadlatul Ulama organization environment, both in the context of Indonesia and internationally;

NAHNU: Journal of Nahdlatul Ulama and Contemporary Islamic Studies was established on July 15, 2023, and was officially published for the first time online on August 15, 2023.
